I have been a customer of First Union then Wachovia since the transfer.

They treat their customers horrible in the NSF scams. They deliberately hold off deducting funds in your account until the last possible minute. Online access is supposed to make life easier - however, you can't trust the balance. The only balance to trust is in your check book.

I hope at some point a class action suit can be held against Wachovia and their unethical practices. They can go under just like any other bank. I guess they figure if they screw the "little people" it won't matter.

What goes around comes around Wachovia! You will go out of business just like the other big financial institutions!

Wachovia took more than half of my payroll stating that I was negative in my account. When the customer service rep started reading the charges, I immediately stated to her that I set up the feature on my debit card not to use it if my account is negative. As she placed me on hold for about 5 minutes, her response was that I was correct and my account should not have been charged more than $600 in overdraft. I have never in the history of banking been negative $600 in my account with any bank. She placed me on hold again to have me speak with another customer service manager, he informed me that the feature was set up on my account to decline charges if the account is in the negative. In the event of that, he also stated to me that I did not qualify for a refund because my account was too new. MY ACCOUNT IS 8 MONTHS OLD. How old does the account have to be before a person is reimbursed for a bank error? That was a lame *** excuse and Wachovia has practices that are unfair and unethical. Wachovia owes me the money for their mistake. I refuse to bank with Wachovia and am in the process of closing the account. Word of mouth is powerful for businesses - big or small. I would never recommend Wachovia bank to people, and before I joined the bank, several people advised me not to do it. I should have listened. :(

I don't really know about all of this banking stuff but I know enough to know that it should be the people that tell their bank what they want and be able to tell them to their face and to higher authorities about what is going on with their accounts andother money problems!!! :? :?
